We focus today on the real estate network Orpi. To celebrate its 50 years of existence on the French market, the group have reconsidered their web presence with the revamping of its website. 1. A powerful search engine

Search engine remains core to online real property market. Even if this functionality is not the most appealing of all, it remains nonetheless the most important. It stands as the first contact between the client and the offer.

Orpi has clearly understood it all and now offers a more user-friendly search engine. Its main characteristics are:
- Pictograms accompanies every action and makes the offer clearer
- The user may refine his search thanks to a wide array of criteria
- An interactive map is automatically updated as criteria are added and users may even draw with pencil on the search zone

2. Exclusive mandate: a precise geo-tracking

The debate about exclusive mandate is tense both in France and Mauritius! This is why Orpi took the commitment to put forward their exclusive offer (about 45% of its portfolio) by precisely geo-tracking the properties. Those subject to simple mandate are tracked in a within a 500-meter radius in town, and a 3-km radius in rural zone.
 

 

3. The promotion of virtual tours

Rich media has imposed itself in France and the property sector managed to tame and master. Orpi as well, by integrating an innovative tool into its ads, allowing users to perform 360° virtual tours of properties.

Orpi has intelligently chosen to offer this service only to properties under exclusive mandate, as well as to prestigious properties. This strategy shall help Orpi to expand its property portfolio and to trigger preference within its target market: the more an online ad features details, the more optimum would be the search for the user.

4. A powerful price estimator tool

Orpi develops its own functionalities and is moving ahead competitors by putting forward its own property estimator tool. Named Orpi Expert,this tool relies on data from INSEE (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies, in France) plus on ‘1,7 million of transactions coming from Orpi’s common file’ states Cécile Vimard, Orpi’s Digital Manager.
 

 

5. Customer service: the biggest challenge!

Thanks to the new functionalities of the website, the client now feels backed during his search process: complete detailed email alerts, history of properties, etc. Moreover, for clients having already met with an advisor at one of Orpi’s agencies, a wide range of procedures can be completed online, such as the follow-up of each step of the transaction, sharing of documents and meeting schedule with his real estate agent. With such an accompaniment, there is no doubt that the client shall live an awesome experience!
