Following the "Africa Forward Together" conference regrouping 55 participants from 18 different countries at Long Beach Hotel at the beginning of the week, the Mauritius Commercial Bank announces its plan to be present in Kenya. According to Raoul Gufflet, Head of International Division at MCB, announces that a request has already been sent to the Kenyan banking authorities. MCB has as a main goal to be present everywhere in Africa. Being present in Africa would allow MCB to cover countries bordering Kenya and the objective of the "Africa Together Forward" conference is to define MCB as a pool of opportunities for African banks by positioning itself as a bankers’ bank" on the African continent.
