Spanish Hotel Group RIU Hotels & Resorts takes over 3 hotels in the south of Mauritius

Spanish hotel group RIU Hotels and Resorts has made acquisition of 3 former Apavou Group’s hotels in the south of Mauritius, more precisely at the Morne Peninsula for a total investment of 80 million euros. The 3 hotels, RIU Le Morne, RIU Créole and RIU Coral will undergo renovation before re-opening in February 2015 and will offer some 560 rooms in total. RIU Le Morne shall operate under the "Adult Only by RIU" label and will host some 219 rooms, 5 bars and 4 restaurants against 197 rooms, 5 bars and 3 restaurants for RIU Créole whose restaurants and bars will be accessible for RIU Coral residents.
The latter’s accommodation capacity will be of 144 rooms. Moreover, clients from the 3 hotels will have full access to a hall, a nightclub and a spa.
