Savannah Connected Countryside is a truly unique village developed by ENL Property. Featuring historical artefacts, native forests and water features, the smart village is gearing up to become a prime destination for work and family fun.

A serene climate and a green landscape, well away from the urban rush... An environment that exudes the spirit of well-being! Covering 440 acres, including 365 under the Smart City Scheme, Savannah Connected Countryside calls for a new way of life in the wild south of the island.

“People are always on a quest for a peaceful environment, where they can blossom into their idea of happiness. For some, this search leads to the busy streets of the cities. Others find it easier to live in the countryside, where the gentler pace of life connects us with nature, allowing our sense of authenticity to flourish. Savannah Connected Countryside will be woven carefully into the social, ecological and economic fabric of the South. We are reinforcing the agricultural character of the region; most of the 7,000 acres under our management will be left as cane fields and the coastline will be kept pastoral with cattle, cows and sheep grazing along its cliffs,” says Hector Espitalier-Noël, CEO of the ENL Group.

Genuine ecological values are part of the foundation of the company. Bicycle and pedestrian paths will be developed throughout the area, positioning soft mobility at the core of the project.

Along with recycling bins, a composting project for organic waste in partnership with ENL Agri is foreseen, as well as wastewater treatment systems, which will contribute to optimising effluent management. Micro-forests will supply a generous amount of fresh air to the villagers, while photovoltaic and hydraulic installations will feed the smart village with green energy.

Savannah Connected Countryside aims to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, an American system for standardising high environmental quality buildings and neighbourhoods.
