Measures to fight the spread of COVID-19

Published on the

Caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the emerging infectious disease COVID-19 is unrelentingly afflicting the whole world. While the number of victims keeps on increasing (see updated figures here), several "barrier methods" are recommended to reduce the spread.

It is very important to follow these recommendations to the letter. Practice regular hand washing; use disposable tissues; maintain a distance of at least one meter from others, and make use of your elbow when coughing or sneezing.

Since prevention is better than cure, you should imperatively avoid going out. Respect the conditions imposed by the government for essential services , when at the supermarket for example.

Make sure to wash and disinfect everything that may have been exposed–your groceries, your car and your clothes, among others.
