A thriving business park

Imagine a dynamic environment, conducive to business activities, and an agreeable climate and location, which promotes better standards of living. Why choose elsewhere? Uniciti participates in building an ecosystem which is favourable to the economic development of the western region and offers a comprehensive framework in terms of resources and advanced infrastructure through the development of its office park. Open to all company sizes, from start-ups to multinationals, the park is geared towards providing tailored solutions to partners and businessmen to help them grow their businesses exponentially.

This vision dates back to 2011 when the business zone kicked off by the name of Clarens Fields and hosting 9 buildings over a surface area of 6,300 m2. Seven years later, Uniciti Office Park is born and now spreads over a total surface area of 15 000 m2, inclusive of an additional 8 buildings over 9,000 m2, and featuring a café-restaurant at the very centre of the second phase. All these amenities set Uniciti Office Park as a reference on the west coast, testified by a high occupancy rate of 90%. All you need is there: fully-furnished offices ranging from 50 m2 to over 1,000 m2 which can be customised to fit the requirements of the occupants, optical fibre high-speed internet connexion, optimal 24/7 security and numerous parking spaces.

Designed to suit the needs of all types of companies, the 17 ‘low-rise’ buildings of the park attract local businesses as much as foreign companies (which make up around 75% of its tenants). With 700 employees for now, most of them being Mauritians, the park ambitions to take this figure to a thousand once 100% of the new offices are fully occupied. Uniciti Office Park already has plans in the pipeline Six new buildings on a surface area of 6,000 m2 will spring to life in 2019 next to this second phase.

A ‘Live-Work-Enjoy-Learn’ philosophy

Founded in 1911 as a sugar estate, the Medine Group has successfully transformed from an essentially sugar-based operation into a diversified group, structured around the core business areas of Agriculture, Leisure, Property Development and Education. The group has engaged in an unprecedented property development programme under its Master plan to redefine the west coast into a sustainable and vibrant community.

Uniciti, its smart city, is planned over 350 hectares and promotes the concept of Live, Work, Enjoy & Learn, with Education and Higher Education particularly at the core of its development through the creation of an integrated and international campus.

The smart city endeavours its development through achieving a delicate balance betweenresidential, business, educational and recreational uses. Uniciti is way past the launch, a key number of projects having already launched during the past years. As far as residential areas are concerned, Student Life Residences are up and running, and soon, residential units and plots of land will be on sale. When it comes to work, the Office Park is already fully integrated to the urban planning of the project.
