The project’s approbation
A project under the IHS scheme must absolutely be approved by the Board of Investment. Once approved, an IHS certificate will be issued by the promoting company for the construction of an hotel, which rooms, villas, apartments or suites and others may be sold individually in units.

The Lands’ surface areas
A hospitality project under the HIS scheme may be developed either on a fully owned land or on a leased land. The land must however extend on an area exceeding one hectare.

The selling criteria

The units or other parts of the hotel may be sols
• On plan
• During the construction phase
• Once the construction phase completed
The buyer shall receive during the sale, his title deed regarding the unit or the part he paid for.
The definition and the management of the units or other parts of the hotel are managed by the “Règlements de copropriété’ which in his turn is managed by the Mauritian Civil Code.
