Marguery Exclusive Villas: A small piece of Eden, secluded between sea and mountain.

Published on the

margueryWithout a doubt, Black River is one of the most relaxing area in the south-west of Mauritius. A place where sea and mountain intersect endlessly, shaping with majesty a haven of peace and tranquility. This unique and outstanding setting is home to the 26 Marguery Exclusive Villas, blending seamlessly into the surrounding natural environment.
Mauritius is a land of seduction, an attractive mix of origins and cultures, resulting here in a charming real estate concept: a story where French and Mauritian skills work together to craft and create a cocoon accessible only to the happy few.

Michael Ruel, how best can we depict this beautiful relationship you share with Mauritius ?
Same as so many guests visiting your island for the first time, I was deeply charmed by Mauritius. It happens that I am the owner, with my associates and partners Jean Etchepareborde and Jean-Michel Remazeilles, of MJ Development in France, a Real Estate Promoter successfully delivering a hundred units per year. During each of my stays on the island, I came across several projects really similar to the projects we have been managing in France for more than 15 years...

Therefore, it must have been an evidence for you that you could develop such projects on our beautiful island?
Yes of course! But in doing so in a spirit of interactivity and partnership with Mauritius’ sharpest talents. On this outstanding Black River development, we are working in synergy with Nicolas Paturau, Mauritian and Architect of the project. Nicolas designed the first residential morcellement in Mauritius, the « Plantation Marguery », abiding to strict guidelines that define among others the land use plan, overall aesthetics or even general landscaping aspect…certainly one of the reasons why we chose this exceptional location.

The natural environment is of paramount importance at Marguery Exclusive Villa! ...
Absolutely. It is even the core of our concept: a garden set between sea and mountain! For this reason we have appointed a French landscaper, Daniel Maestracci, whose talent has been contracted on some of the finest achievements of the island. Our project blends in perfectly in the continuity of the Plantation Marguery estate, which has the particularity of featuring an exceptional heritage of century-old trees, all of them officially identified! To such an extent that all owners have committed themselves, in the sales contract, to protect each one of these natural treasures…

Therefore, it looks like you are creating quite a unique spirit and atmosphere here in Mauritius?
You are right. At Marguery Exclusive Villas, we do not like bulky and concrete homes. Our small havens will all be circled and protected by plants and flower walls.

Your paradise on earth so long is not cut out from all the benefits of modern life?
Surely not and this contrast is certainly what creates in fact the charm of the place! First, to ensure the high degree of reliability and safety that our customers require, we submit our continuous work process to the certified independent review of APAVE, appraised internationally for its meticulous audits on international standards, relating to either technical aspects (seismic, cyclonic, etc. ) and safety, environment or even in terms of comfort.

We could also talk about the use of Fiber optics on site, of a water treatment plant, solar water heaters, individual magnetic card to monitor energy consumption...
Actually yes, but the most outstanding thing to know finally, is that this dream home, set between ocean and mountains, provides an exclusive access to the sea, less than 500 meters away from your villa, a boat house , and all the conveniences of modern living, within a 5-minute walk. Make sure you meet our other Mauritian talent, Isabelle Descroizilles, who will be delighted to demonstrate how a tropical hideaway and modern lifestyle create perfection!
