Cap Tamarin Smart City takes shape. This large-scale project, conceived by the Trymetys group, will benefit from the expertise of SETEC, one of the main European multidisciplinary engineering groups. The company was solicited as part of a project management assistance mission for the construction of the intelligent city. The signing of an agreement to this effect took place on 23 November at the headquarters of the Mauritian group in Tamarin. As a reminder, Trymetys obtained from the Board of Investment.

The Cap Tamarin project aims to be part of an urban development that will ultimately benefit the local community. Built on a plot of 105 arpents, this smart city offers a breathtaking view of the lagoon of Tamarin. A privileged framework which, promises the promoter, will attract many investors. Some 2,000 jobs are expected to be created by 2020 in many sectors, including health, education, services, tourism, ecology and technology, and general trade.

"Excellent investment opportunities are now available for investors whether they are companies or individuals," said Georges Talbotier, CEO of Trimetys Group, after obtaining the Smart City Certificate.

Founded in 1998, Trymetys Group is present in Rodrigues, Madagascar and Reunion Island and operates in agribusiness, real estate, tourism and education and employs 250 people.
